How to make Nasigoreng


  • 1 1/2 c Long Basmati rice ( cooked)
  • 1 tsp garlic slices/ grated.
  • 1/4 tsp grated ginger 
  • 2-3 medium  Onions, cut in half, sliced 
  • 2  Fresh green chilies, seeded, 
  • Some Spring onion (1/2" length)
  • 8-10 prawns 
  • 250 g-300 g Skinless  chicken breast ( fried and sliced)
  • 1 tsp Paprika 
  • 1 tsp  soy sauce 
  • 3 -4 tbsp tomato ketchup 
  • 1 1/2 tsp chilly powder
  • 1/2 cup shrimp paste / to taste ( how to make shrimp paste ) http://www.zaraskitchen.co/2015/12/shrimp-paste.html
  • 2 tsp Butter 
  • 1 1/2 tsp seasoning oil
  • Chopped Bell peppers

Directions

  1. Heat butter and seasoning oil in a large skillet. 
  2. Add onions, ginger,garlic and chilies and fry 2 minutes. 
  3. Add salt.
  4. Add spring onion, bell peppers and prawns .fry gently 10 minutes until cooked.
  5. Now add chicken and remaining ingredients and mix well.( if u wanna make it spicy add some extra shrimp paste)
  6. Add rice and and cook 5-6 minutes or until piping hot, 
  7. stirring constantly. Season with salt. 
  8. Turn mixture into a warm serving dish and keep warm 
  9. Garnish with a Omelette ,some chopped spring onions, coriander  and bell peppers.
