Arab’s basbousa / semolina cake, very easy recipe





It’s a delicious arabic dessert which is known as semolina cake too. It’s very popular in arabs , they make this cake for every special days & moment. A cup of gahwa served with this lovely dessert is always amazing. I learned this recipe from one of my arabic friend & it’s turned super yummy. Do you wanna try it?? 
Then follow the recipe, 

INGREDIENTS FOR CAKE 

1 cup semolina
1 cup Yogurt 
1 cup Coconut 
3/4 cup Sugar 
1 1/2  tsp baking powder 
1/2 cup oil
2 tsp vanilla extract or cardamom powder 
A pinch of salt

GARNISH & POURS

Almonds or nuts for garnish
Sugar syrup or condensed milk/milk maid for pouring on top. 

Mix all CAKE ingredients in a bawl, 




spread on a greased baking pan . Draw the lines of desire shapes & place an almond on each piece. Press a little. 


Bake it on 200degrees for about 30-40 minutes or till you get the golden top. 


Pour the syrup or condensed milk all over the baked basbousa As soon as you remove from the oven.spread it evenly , Let it absorb about for  minimum 2 hrs.
