Toasted butter naan sandwitch (without yeast)


Ingredients For the naan

  • 1 cup of plain flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • A pinch of baking soda
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1/4 cup yogurt/curd
  • 1/4 cup warm milk
  • Butter and coriander leaves for garnishing.
Direction 
  1. Mix the dry ingredients in a bawl.
  2. Make a well and add remaining ingredients.
  3. Mix and knead well until combined 
  4. Sprinkle some additional flour and make smooth dough. Should be little sticky.
  5. Now place it on a greased bawl .
  6. Cover and leave it to rest for 2 -3 hrs in a warm place.

Filling

  • 1 large onion ( chopped)
  • Chopped carrots and spring onion
  • 1 -2 large potatoes (mashed) 
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2-1 tsp pepper powder  ( or to taste)
  • Pinch of crushed red chilly 
  • Chopped coriander 
  • Oil
Direction  
  1. Add 2 -3 tbsp to a pan. Heat it.
  2. Add onion and salt.
  3. Stir fry until it turns into a light brown color.
  4. Now add carrots, spring onion and coriander . Stir well.
  5. Keep covered for a while.
  6. When the vegetables lose their rawness, add remaining ingredients ad mix well. 
  7. Stir cook for a minute and turn of the heat.
( you can use any fillings for this)


Making of toasted naan sandwich 

  • Now preheat your toaster and divide the dough into 6 equal portions.
  • Sprinkle some flour on a surface.
  • Roll each bolls to thin sheets to your toaster's size.
  • Place 1 sheet on your preheated toaster.
  • Keep filling.
  • Now top with another rolled sheet.
  • Cut the  additional parts of the sheets using a scissor.
  • Cover the toaster and cook until done.
  • Apply some butter on top and garnish with coriander.
Your toasted butter naan sandwich is ready to serve. ( serve hot)
