Butter cookies




Ingredients

  • Butter - 1/ 2 cup ( in room temperature )
  • Powdered sugar - 1/2 cup
  • Plain flour - 1 cup
  • Baking powder - 1/4 teaspn
  • Vanilla extract - 1/2 teaspn
Direction
  • Whisk the butter for 10 sec and add sugar.
  • Mix well and beat until creamy. ( use a spoon or hand mixture to beat to avoid over beating).
  • Shift the flour and baking powder saparately and add them to the butter mixture.
  • Add vanilla extract .
  • Mix well and knead slowly. Do not over knead.
  • Make the dought and cover it. Let it rest for 10 mints.
  • Make small balls from the dough and keep on baking tray.
  • Press little using a folk .


  • Preheat the oven for 10 mints in 180 C.
  • Bake for 15 - 20 mints in 180 C.

  • Let it cool and enjoy with a cup of tea.
