Yummy yellow rice
rice - 250 g (any kind)
5 Samll onions.
Garlic - 4 pieces (sliced)
Cinnamon stick.
Curry leaves.
Bay leaves.
mint leaves.
Coconut milk,
turmeric powder - 1/2 tspn
cashew nuts & raisins( dried grapes)
salt
heat the oil and batter
add onion,garlic,curry leaves,bay leaves,mint leaves,cinnamon and heat until fragrant,
stirring, about 30 seconds.
Add the rice and milk .stir well .
add salt and turmeric powder and bring it to boil.
Add the cashew nuts & raisins
Cover and reduce heat to medium. Cook, covered, without stirring until the water is absorbed and the rice is tender.
Remove from the heat and let sit, covered, without stirring, for 10 minutes.
